Meet Varun

An ex-sports captain from Jamnabai. A hustler at heart. Already sold his first startup to JM Financial by the age of 35 and was onto the next thing. Identified a game-changing opportunity overseas and made a bold decision to move and start all over again.

His Genius

He had phenomenal control and a very in-depth understanding of multiple industries. He would be able to go in depth and see the micro and be able to step out to see the macro with ease. His speed of execution, his network and his ability to have distinct layers in relationships were commendable.

His Growth Strategy

His Growth Strategy was about diversity - handling a diverse range of people, thriving in difficult situations and not letting setbacks pull him down.

He would feel pushed to a corner when someone spoke to him in a direct, assertive tone, which would get him into a fighty mode and not actually be able to handle the situation smoothly

A lot of decisions were driven by emotion, and not by objectivity, which would cause him to lose focus on the bigger picture.

He would pressurise him too much to stay overly focused and disciplined, which was counterproductive because free and fluid mind states fuel creativity.

He would feel breathless and anxious in contexts where he couldn’t see a clear path ahead (this feeling was exaggerated because he now took up an opportunity in a second-world country with family or friends around)

All of this (in his words) was causing him to move 50% slower than his original pace.

Rewiring His Neurology

He would end up taking scenarios (like someone talking to him assertively) and convert them to harsh metaphors in his head (feeling pushed to the corner). This would make him feel exaggerated emotions - clouding his natural judgement. Using the swish (a fantastic technique that can literally produce a behavioural shift in less than 2 minutes) was the most important thing for him.

Of course, we used multiple state choice tools and techniques (like the alphabet game, collapse anchor, etc.) for him to have access to high-performance states even in adverse situations.

Outcome:

He had so much more energy, vitality and grace. He was able to launch, scale, automate and mentor the right set of people within just 6 months, which gave him the freedom to come home to enjoy his and his sisters’ wedding for a good 3-4 months. 

In fact, he also got introduced to a couple of people who wanted to expand in South Africa and brought a new investor on board. They increased capacity, doubled the money and got revenue from 15 million dollars to 51 million dollars in just 1 year.

Today, he is focused on penetrating the market further and creating industry-level opportunities that will take him to the next level.
